Absolutely terrible bed smelt like it had never been cleaned there was no heating sink was leaking and to top it all off my coat was stolen by I'm assuming the cleaner absolute shambles of a place

If I could find a better word then disgusting I would. It is dirty, cold, no towels in room. The pictures on web site of the inside are fake, the worst Lodge I have ever stay in. Part of the lodge is let out to people with problems and have no homes. It is noisy and was very frightening. I would not recommend to my worst enemy x

Me and my partner booked this about 8pm got there about half 9pm Thursday 16th January 2025, first staff member we spoke to was very polite and helpful, but the room had bag of rubbish from last person who stayed in there also no toilet roll but the man was very sorry and helpful,I woke up at half past 8 in the morning from non stop banging on the door , I opened door a man standing there telling me checkout is at 11 I already knew this he woke me up to tell me that, had no towels in room also I notice this in morning wen asked the man for a towel he gave me a towel that was wet obvs used by someone else very very rude and dirty....

sorry but you give it a wide berth... they didn't inform you that there is no heating and hot water. no towels and no remotes for the TV... a mess when you travel from far away. and the guy at the reception says there is a problem with hot water and heating… and don’t want sorting a issue… becouse don’t want spending money on emergency services…. Run away…

Booked this as I had an early flight and had to be at the airport for 5.15am It's cheap and cheerful, although there is no soap in the shower. But it comes with a kettle with tea/ coffee It was only an 11-minute ride to the airport. The receptionist drove me , cheaper than local taxi

I am not one to write reviews (especially negative ones), but this was the worst place I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was dirty. There was a constant beeping throughout the night which kept us up. The fire alarm went off twice in the night for no apparent reason. Once at 2am and once at 2:45am. You can hear everything in the rooms around you. The rooms are insanely hot but if you open the window it causes the bathroom door to bang. We had to keep it shut because the bathroom stank. It felt unsafe. We left at 3am.

The website advertised food ,bar and breakfast but none of these are available. Changed rooms twice as both were not acceptable. Not tea or coffee facilities in the room shower was filthy hardly any water coming out of shower head. Spoke to the owners who just smiled and said it's all opening soon. Not happy. One night stay thank god.

The room was very big and warm, nicely decorated it, but not very clean, and the mattress felt quite old. There is no amenities like a drink machine where you can buy drinks or snacks. When asking a member of staff if they could wake me up to get my taxi, said it would not do it, as it happens before and people get annoyed if they miss the flight, and told me to set an alarm. If you are looking for an acceptable prize a goid room for a night close to the airport, yes, but I am afraid you cannot expect an excellent quality as others.

What a joke. Shower head didn't even have a seat, so only a pet wash available. Paper thin walls. Not a shop within 2 miles and nothing offered at the lodge.

Do not stay in this so called hotel, it would be better to sleep in the field at the back. Only had to stay one night, thank God. No one at reception on arrival, phoned the 2 phone numbers on desk. No answer. Finally Got key.....the room is the filthiest I have ever encountered in a hotel (only stayed because I arrived late and tried phoning other hotels but no availability). Shower filthy and not working, shower door had broken off. Bed filthy, slept in my clothes. Read the other reviews about your room mates (bed bugs). No remote for tv...wardrobe without hangers..and amazingly they have a filthy thick pile carpet on the landing, which is a haven for wild life, I think I saw david Attenborough milling about. To recap absolutely disgusting. I obviously did,nt read reviews. And as a previous post said it should be shut down I will reporting to environmental health as other people have done ( although they seem to turning a blind eye to this particular flea pit) so be warned

Tough to recommend. Place was dirty, showers were cold, and the walls are so thin you can hear everything from the room next to you. Beds/pillows weren’t comfortable. Windows have safety locks which means in the heat of the summer you will be horribly hot. Host was nice, and location is convenient (about 20 min to the closest bus stop that’ll take you to the airport. Sadly, the taxis were all around £15-20 for a 4 minute trip. Limited amenities. There’s a TV but it’s tiny, and I wasn’t provided with a remote.

Poor! No one at reception. Sign suggested 2 mobile numbers to call depending on arrival day & time - neither covered 6pm Sunday. Left answer machine message, someone eventually rang back and came over. Computer not working so we could not register our number plate (NB car park operated by a separate company who fine you if not registered). Asked about eveing meals in area - told to try Uber Eat! In fact there is a decent pub with food 5 mins down the road. Service could easily be made acceptable.

AVOID - I arrived late, solo traveller. Nobody on reception, I buzzed 3 times. I thought it may be self check in, the computer system was open for anyone to see the details of all guests, along with which room they were allocated and how many were in their party. The lock on my door was broken too, with no way of securing the room. Data protection and personal security issues were obvious. Needless to say, I didn't stay. I felt less at risk driving for 3+ hours home at 2am.

Though the room was very large and the cheapest option (with long stay airport parking) it felt unclean and quite unsafe. We were left with no towels, a bright light shone into the room most of the night and we could hear guests coming and going all night. Even with towels we wouldn't have used the shower. The bed was the worst I have slept on, you could feel the springs and it sank into the frame below. Since staying we have seen previous reviews about bed bugs and feels very lucky to have avoided them. Definitely worth paying more and staying elsewhere

It serves the purpose if you don't spend more than 5-8 hours. None doors and windows worked properly. No TV remote controller was available. The receptionist recommended to download a chargeable app to control the TV. Try to avoid it if you can

Truly atrocious. I am astounded that Holiday Extras use this 'lodge'. My flight wasn't due to land until 0140 so I rung before booking to ensure I could check in during the early hours. I was assured that they serviced the airport, they had a 24hr reception so of course it would be no problem. After an hours delay to my flight I arrived at the lodge at 0400. A note with a key card and number to call. I rung and rung but no one answered. I text, it was read but still after three messages no one answered. I ended up, in the cold, having had no sleep for 24 hours, in my car until I felt safe enough to drive. I managed two hours sleep. I woke with still no call or message. I went into reception and a member of staff arrived who offered to show me to my room. I had a three hour drive ahead so was having to leave early anyway so there was really no point. I explained what had happened to which he said that reception only opened until midnight and his colleague had put the wrong number on the note.

If you are looking for a clean and refreshing short stay this place IS NOT IT. Cold water so do not look forward to a nice shower after long travels. Windows were broken we were not able to lock or close them. There was rubish left over after previous customers. No bin for waste. Even tho the location is good we definitely wont stay here again.

I missed missed my flight and had to find a reasonable priced hotel to spend the night. If I knew what I was putting myself into, I wouldn't stayed there even if it was free. I had a prison cell size room in top floor that was just painted, but the window was broken and didn't close well. It had no electricity and the guy at the reception had to come and fix it. The mattress was very hold and the springs completely shot and impossible to sleep on it. Furthermore the mattress cover was missing, only a thin sheet was covering the nasty and hold mattress and I had to asks for some towels to cover it. The bathroom smelled like sewer and I had to keep the door closed the all time, the faucets were old and disgusting. Not having a car to and the only way to move around was by taxi, which I had to take to get to the airport. The worst hotel I have been!!!!!

Cheap spacious rooms very close to airport parking, pub serving food 5 min walk. What more do you need. Could it be a bit nicer yes but then it would cost more. Much better option than a few hours driving to the airport at 4am.

The only good thing about this place is the distance from Stansted Airport for arrivals or departures. My room was supposed to be an executive double suite. At one end of the room there is what looks like a school dressing room. Outside the hotel (my view) is a pile of old mattresses. All the laminate is very heavily worn and gaps in it. The shower leaks more water from the hose going into the shower head than comes out of it. It looks like the shower curtain has never been washed

This is the worst place I have ever been in my life. We needed a shower after a long day traveling and there was no hot water. The bathroom’ s floor was disgustingly dirty and the toilet had excrements in it. This place should be reported and closed. Don’t go there!

The room was only £59 per night so I was not expecting much. The room was OK, the visible spiderwebs could have been cleaned very easy to spot. The shower basin was leaking like crazy all over the bathroom floor so we had to sacrifice one towel. The water was lukewarm so you didn’t spent much time showering. The worst part was the broken toilet that didn’t flush. The bed seemed cleaned and was comfortable enough to sleep in. Surprisingly we weren’t disturbed by the airplanes from the Stansted airport. One night emergency stay was OK, deffo better than a sleepless night at the airport.

The shower didn't work. The bus is cheap but doesn't run until about 7am. Taxi was 27 quid. There is a Londis supermarket and a couple of pubs within about 20 min walk.

BED BUGS! Do not go here. My boyfriend woke up the next morning to massive bites all over his body and I had found bugs crawling around on the bed. The bedding was unclean and had blood stains under the pillows. Absolutely disgusting unclean place to stay. So unhygienic! The shower also would not drain. Lots of noise thin walls.
